A large automotive component manufacturer was having air quality problems with an Okuma water – based lathe.
Traditional bag style mist collectors proved ineffective and maintenance intensive. In response, this company installed an Absolent ODF – 2000 Mist Collector.
After installation, coolant mist problems disappeared.
Measured mist levels produced by the Okuma are 17.55 mg/m3. Measured mist levels coming out of the Absolent mist collector were 0.0 mg/m3.
